Ulduar Progress
When the beefiest part of Ulduar hits at the same time your website admin has Finals and extra work related activites, you get updates like this. We're on this guy(meaning, everyone else is dead, except that Algalon guy):

Uglier headshot than Xzibit

We're also recruiting various classes, and have room for some spots that aren't listed in the recruitment section to the left. Check out the forums for more information.

Ulduar Day 1

Dawg

Not a whole lot to say. Flame Leviathin and Razorscale dead. Bugged Ignis ate up a good portion of our time, leading us to leaving a bugged XT-002 alive as the instance crashed for the night. The PvP and QQ orgy taking place at the instance gate for the remainder of the night seemed oddly reminiscent of a recent PTR.

"OMFG, Trib do an update"
So, people have been bugging the crap out of me to do an update again. We finally got the shit-bag of an achievement "The Immortal" done and followed it up with a repeat the 2nd week, meaning most of the guild now has new Black Proto Drakes. Mind you, we already have 310% speed proto drakes...but these ones look different. It's important guys, try and stay stay focused here. Now, most guilds decide to do fun things with these alternate-color drakes to make them news worthy, so we decided to follow suit.

GC

After all was said and done, I think we spent more time spelling out a whole 2 letters than we do on entire Sartharian or Malygos clears some weeks. After our original positioning, some kindly soul decided to pull a huge mammoth into the center of our screenshot, so we had to shift the entire raid out of the way. That was when we learned that Blizzard's new scalable content strategy has extended to new and exciting heights.

Idiots

But all sarcasm aside, most of the guild is extremely relieved to be done with Immortal. Running Naxxramas mostly care free and not having to watch every raiders movements with hawk-eyes for the entire duration of the raid is a nice change, and a welcomed one with 3.1 looming around the corner. To get ready for it, we've opened up recruiting a bit. Check the recruitment section in the upper left hand corner of the page, or click on the Recruitment link to read up on requirements.

And stay tuned for more caffeine-inspired proto-drake updates. We apparently have many more colors to look forward to, since the Frost Wyrms are seemingly destined for PvP for the time being. Because, Frost Wyrms clearly have no place in PvE Lore.

GC on raid content

It seems odd for me to write an update about the PTR when I can look at the bottom of this news page and still see info on the WotLK Beta, but I guess WoW has entered new times. In this era, content can't just be playable by one group or class of people anymore. Content has to be playable by everyone, stretched to limits to ensure that both hardcore and casual, 10 and 25 players, theorycrafters and facerollers alike can experience it all.

This, of course, means less content, but more testing and tuning of each piece that strains it's way out of the developer's minds. This testing must, in turn, be done by this wide spectrum of players, a massive effort to ensure that Blizzard's high quality of standards remains upheld. What with the large majority of the player base having waited months for this content, this upcoming Ulduar 3.1 patch will surely see one of the most succesful and widespread testing phases Blizzard will ever have had. So, logically, they dusted off that wallet and broke out the big notes to pay for this testing with a whole... 2 servers.

For the brave few that managed to claw their through the Wall of Collision Errors, Loading Screens of Death, and Pings of No Return, and managed to make their way into the instance, they got to begin the glorious testing of new content wait for 25 other people to somehow do the same.

Hooked oh Phish Pheasts

Alas, despite all of this, we have made some significant progress and have tested all bosses to date. Ulduar is shaping up to be a great instance. The triple-mode Iron Council is a great way to provide extra content without much effort, the Flame Leviathin hard mode is a great introduction of tightly tuned vehicle based encounters, and Mimiron hard mode offers some of the most challenging content we've seen since Sunwell, and I urge Blizzard not to alter it. Ulduar will deffinitely be a great instance, however I can only hope that we will see more like it, more often.

Glory of the Achievements
We finally got around to putting some time into the Glory of the Raider achievements. Gratz to group "AFK Mages" on finishing it first. We should have 1 or 2 more groups getting 310% speed protos within a few days. Until then, congratulations to the "firsts:"

Ankhie
Cormyr
Delciotto
Holyshoot
Malmortis
Nisay
Phailed
Phluid
Tribulaetion
Ztorm

Also, congratulations to Ztorm on his new Black Drake, which will never see the light of day.

Fixed
Apparently the real key to this fight is having as many people as possible DC on phase 1 and 2. Also, yay for our first lag free Tuesday in months.

Twilight Vanquishers

For all those who complain about Blizzard's content being too easy, they really need to check this fight out before complaining. Sartharian + 3 Drakes was truly a Sunwell-level fight that strongly tests raid DPS and personal survivability. Big thanks to everyone who contributed. Congratz to Piccolo for beating Cataclyzm in an epic roll-off for the Blue Drake Mount. We hope you die often from getting dismounted in no fly zones /jealous.

Malygos

So after clearing all raid content and killing all Alliance bosses (yay bear mount?), we decided to check out the Ironforge Auction house... for two hours. Three-hundred+ alliance kills later, we were still comfortably lodged in the Ironforge Plaza. We even built a comfy fire and roasted some gnome before hitting the sack.

All Content Cleared

Two weeks ago, we were in farm-mode waiting for new content. Ten days after WotLK is released, it seems like we're back in the same place. With the downing of Malygos and Sartharian, GC has cleared all initial 10 and 25 man content for WotLK. Now it's gear farming time till Uldar comes out. We'll probably try to do Obsidian Sanctum with 3 drakes or something as well.

Naxxramas 25-Man Cleared

It seems like all of our practice on Beta paid dividends. In our second 25-man raid, Gentlemen’s Club cleared 25-man Naxx by defeating Kel’Thuzad. It seems like the biggest cockblock was the leveling process. Important note for the future: do not level in Storm’s Peak without a flying mount. Stay tuned for more.
